Peripatetic music tuition

Vivo Arts currently provide peripatetic music tuition in schools in Lincolnshire and Birmingham. Our teachers are all working musicians with experience in both performance and teaching and are all DBS checked.

We provide music lessons within schools on a one on one basis and work to different syllabi in order to provide a rounded education to assist all of our students to becoming accomplished performers.

We also provide assistance for GCSE and A-Level students who require assistance with all aspects of their qualification.

All of our students learn:

Performance skills
Technical abilities
Dynamic control
An understanding of how their instrument fits into an ensemble
Music theory
Songs they’ll enjoy learning!

We currently run school bands, percussion groups, rock and pop jam sessions and put on evenings of music. Our tutors create arrangements around the musicians within the school as we understand every school has different requirements and students can all be at different levels.

We are in the process of expanding into music technology tuition by using a combination of school equipment and our own recording equipment to give students the opportunity to learn recording techniques, how to operate recording software, basic mixing techniques and how to create a final track.

We have arranged school trips giving students the opportunity to see professional shows and we aim to provide an experience for the students by having professional musicians work with them in different situations in order for the students to gain experience in the possibilities of music as a career.

Vivo also provide Enrichment Days where we send professional musicians into your school to work with the students to create and end product – this can be a performance piece, a recording or perhaps a project on the aspects of the music industry.

Drawing on a wealth of knowledge and experience, we have tutors that are able to cover most areas of the industry.

Private lessons to suit you…

We know that there’s a lot more to being a musician than just playing the right notes – there’s a lot to take into consideration. That’s why we not only teach you how to play your chosen instrument, but also teach you the dynamic control and musicianship that you’ll need to become a great musician.

In time, we also want to be able to put on an evening of live music using only students and tutors in an event open to the public to give you a real idea of playing live!

We currently offer lessons in drums, guitar, bass guitar and music theory.

We teach music theory from the Associated Board of the Royal School Of Music and we also offer assistance with GCSE, B-Tec and A-Level Music courses.
